    Rob Patterson – Senior Pastor

     

    Rob PattersonRob was called to pastor Islington Baptist Church after completing his studies at SMBC in 2009. He joined the pastoral team in January 2010.

    Rob is married to Jo and they have 3 wonderful kids: Tom, Hannah and Ben.

    Rob is passionate about teaching the Bible and building the local church to maturity. He really loves to see the church modelling Gospel unity in an otherwise divided world and Christians delighting to share their hope of life in Jesus in a dying world.

    Interests: reading real books made of paper, movies, watching his children play football and walking the dog on the beach.

    Christie Lee Henderson – Church Staff Worker – Youth and Music

    Christie Henderson - Church Worker (Youth and Music)Christie Lee is almost a local. She has a degree in music from Wesley Institute and recently completed an Associate Degree in Theology at SMBC in 2010-11.

    In 2012 Christie Lee joined the staff team in a part time capacity to contribute to the music and youth teams.

    Christie Lee is passionate about cross cultural mission. She has been on 2 short term missions to Africa and Africa is still very much in her heart.

    Interests: Christie is just plain creative! She loves composing, playing and recording music and enjoys cartoon drawing too.

    Frank Cuthbertson – Associate Pastor (Pastoral Care)

    After a career in the Travel Industry, Frank returned to his native Scotland in 1992 to undertake a theological degree at Glasgow Bible College. He graduated in 1995 and pastored Baptist churches in Helensburgh (NSW) and Clearwater Bay (Hong Kong). He returned to Australia in 2006 and was called by Islington to take up his present role in Pastoral Care.

    Frank has been married to Ruth for 35years and they have two grown up children, David and Fiona and two grandchildren, Toby and Elke.

    Frank is committed to serving the needs of people at Islington in the ministry which is Pastoral Care across the diversity of those who make up the congregation; including our Sudanese families. Frank is also regularly involved in the Preaching of God’s word.

    Frank’s interests include reading, railways (steam and model), following the fortunes, and misfortunes, of Glasgow Rangers, Arsenal and the Scottish Football and Rugby teams and of course enjoying watching the antics of his two grandchildren as they grow.
